KUIKENS.COM INFO

Na mezelf jarenlang geërgerd te hebben aan het feit dat vele mooie clubs, discotheken en fuiven websites vaak zulke slechte foto's op hun website hadden staan, ben ik erachter gekomen dat er maar 1 oplossing voor dit probleem is: Het zelf beter doen !

Vandaar dat sinds 6 juni 2005 kuikens.com online is gezet om iedereen te kunnen laten genieten van mijn uitgaansfoto's.
Op deze site zul je dus geen onderbelichte, onscherpe en rokerige plaatjes op postzegel formaat vinden, maar heldere en vlijmscherpe foto's in een resolutie van maar liefst 3 megapixel waar je zonder probleem een 20cm x 30cm afdruk van kan laten maken bij een afdrukservice.

Om niet stil te blijven zitten, zullen we vanaf 1 december 2007 onze bezoekers een nieuwe service bieden: Alle foto's zijn vanaf dan professioneel gedrukt te bestellen, of in een resolutie van 10 megapixel te downloaden. Dit alles vanzelfsprekend zonder watermerk.
Hiermee zullen we illegaal gebruik van onze foto's tegengaan, kan men vanuit de luie stoel foto's bestellen, en maakt kuikens.com een klein deel van haar onkosten goed, om zo steeds met de nieuwste apparatuur ten strijde te blijven trekken.
Voor de mensen die de foto's willen gebruiken of hun GSM, Ipod, profiel websites verandert er niets. Alle foto's zullen nog steeds gratis te downloaden blijven in een resolutie van 600x400 en 1200x800 pixels.

Mensen die willen weten waar de domein naam kuikens.com vandaan komt: Deze heb ik als eerbetoon aan mijn gesnavelde vrienden genomen. Iedereen die wel eens een eendenkuiken heeft groot gebracht, weet hoe gaaf ze zijn en hoe trouw ze aan hun opvoeder blijven. Overigens heeft het woord 'kuikens' ook de mogelijkheid om vertaald te worden als 'chicks', wat gezien de inhoud van de foto galerij geen verkeerde keuze blijkt te zijn!

After being annoyed for a long time with so many beautiful clubs, discotheques and party websites having crappy photo's on their websites, I came to the conclusion that there was only one solution: Doing a better job myself!

That's why since June 6th 2005 kuikens.com has been online to let everyone enjoy my party pictures.
On this site you won't find any underexposed and blurred pictures with the size of a postage stamp, but clear, razor sharp pictures in a resolution of 3 megapixel that can easily be used to create a 8" x 12" print.

From December 1st 2007, we will offer our visitors a new service: All pictures can be ordered as professional prints, or downloaded in a resolution of 10 megapixel. All without watermark.
This will couter the illegal use of our pictures, offer people the comfort of ordering their prints online, and will fund a small part of kuikens.com's expenses and will keep us equipped with the newest cameras to fight our battle.
For people using our pics on their cellphones, Ipods and profile websites, nothing will change. All pics can still be downloaded for free in a resolution of 600x400 and 1200x800 pixels.

People who like to know what the domain name kuikens.com stands for: Kuikens is the Dutch translation for baby ducks. Since I like them a lot, I wanted to honour them by using the domain name kuikens.com. Everybody that has once had the privilege of raising a newborn baby duck knows how cool they are and how loyal they will stay to the person that raised him. Also 'kuikens' is often translated as 'chicks', looking at the content of the picture gallery, a tasteful translation one might say.
